Pantone has finally come up with its colours for 2021 and they are 'Ultimate Grey' and 'Illuminating' ( a vibrant yellow shade). For those who don't know, Pantone is a company which uses the domain of colour psychology to come up with effective solutions for any brand's visual identity, as well as predict the runaway trends and colours of the season.
Keeping in mind the persisting impact of the pandemic, the trends have undergone considerable amount of change. As we mark the end of 2020, the focus remains upon how the next year would turn out to be, and the colours have been curated on a similar basis.
The colours grey and yellow give out completely contrasting tones and at the same time, support each other in a unique way. The palette redefines the idea of optimism, and provides a hope for positivity in 2021.
While grey has a more denser effect and hints towards stability and practical thinking, yellow on the other hand gives a vibrant and chirpy feel. This is also indicative of the fact that 2021 will be a year of both. The upcoming fashion line(s) by leading brands will provide a visual understanding about how the colours would lit up the Runaway like never before!
But here's someone who predicted this trend before it even came into the equation. Who can it be, if not our very own Blair Waldorf?

I can't wait to try them on, can you? Also, its time to bring out the greys and yellows out of your wardrobe and put them together to set the trend for 2021.
Happy Holidays Fellas!
